Welcome to Canjoos. By using our website and authenticating through our platform, you agree to the following terms:

Platform Nature: Canjoos is a neighborhood service marketplace that aggregates demand, opens booking rounds, and coordinates independent contractors. Canjoos is not itself the service provider. Submitting a vote or suggestion does not create a payment obligation. Booking a service may require saving a payment method as described below. All field work is performed by independent third-party contractors.

Payment authorization: When payments are enabled, booking requires you to save a payment method with Stripe. No money is charged when the card is saved. By checking the authorization box at booking, you authorize the assigned contractor (through Canjoos) to make one later off-session charge for the displayed booking total after the documented service-completion and review flow. The contractor is the merchant of record; Canjoos collects its platform fee from that charge. The amount is the booking's displayed line-item total (including any specific-slot surcharge shown at booking). Cancellation, late, and no-show charging is not enabled in this release and requires a separately disclosed policy and amount before any such charge.

User Responsibilities: By signing in with your Google account, you agree to provide accurate information and use the platform only for lawful, neighborhood-focused purposes.

Intellectual Property: All content, graphics, layouts, workflows, and logos on this site are the property of Canjoos.

Limitation of Liability & Contractor Insurance: Canjoos provides the platform on an “as-is” basis. Canjoos assumes no responsibility, legal liability, or financial obligation for any property damage, personal injury, dissatisfaction with workmanship, or disputes arising from a contractor's performance. The independent contractor retains sole responsibility for maintaining all appropriate licensing, certifications, and liability insurance.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules.

Modifications to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted directly to this page with an updated effective date.
